This will be a very busy week for the Marching Band, and there are several changes to the original schedule. PLEASE read through this e-mail carefully. Attached is an updated calendar from Mr. Suehiro as well.
Monday, October 20th: The regular Monday after-school rehearsal will be extended until 5:00pm
Tuesday, October 21st – Sierra Linda Marching Festival
The next marching festival is this Tuesday, Oct 21st at Sierra Linda High School in south Phoenix (3434 S 67th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85043; click here for a map & directions). The itinerary is below:
2:30 pm – call time in Room 302 @ NCHS
2:45 pm – load truck and bus
3:15 pm – depart NCHS for SLHS
4:00 to 4:15 pm (approx) – arrive at SLHS and unload
5:00 pm – Warm up
5:45 pm – Performance
9:15 pm – Depart for NCHS
10:00 pm – Arrive NCHS, unload, then dismissed
The Rattlers Music Parents will be providing snacks and water on the bus ride to Sierra Linda. We will also be providing dinner for the Marching Rattlers immediately after their performance.
Wednesday, October 22nd: There will be a special Marching Rehearsal from 5:30 – 8:30 pm at NCHS.
Thursday, October 23rd: Normal marching band rehearsal, 6:00 – 8:00 pm
Friday, October 24th: There will be a special Marching Rehearsal from 5:00 – 8:30 pm at NCHS.
Saturday, October 25th – Barry Goldwater Marching Festival
This coming Saturday, Oct 25th, the Marching Rattlers will be traveling to Barry Goldwater High School (2820 W Rose Garden Ln, Phoenix, AZ 85027; click here for a map & directions). The details for this competition are below:
7:00 am Call time @ NCHS
7:15 am Load bus and truck
8:15 am Depart NCHS
8:30 am Arrive at BGHS and unload
9:15 am Warm up time
10:00 am NCHS Performance
2:00 pm Depart BGHS
2:20 pm Arrive NCHS, unload, dismissed
Thursday, October 30th – Home Football Game
The final home football game of the year has been moved from Friday October 31st to Thursday October 30th. This will be Senior Night when we honor the seniors in our Marching Band. Please plan to attend and salute their hard work during their time at NCHS.
