This Saturday, October 19th, the North Canyon Marching Rattlers will be participating in the PVUSD Centennial Celebration Parade, along with the marching bands from the other four PVUSD high schools. The Parade will occur near Shadow Mountain High School (29th Street and Shea Boulevard).
Below are the key times for Saturday’s Parade:
2:30 pm – Call time at NCHS
Change into uniforms
Load the truck & bus
3:00 pm – Depart NCHS
3:20 pm – Arrive at Christy Cove Park, near Shadow Mountain HS & unload truck
3:30 pm – warm-up and head to staging area
4:00 pm – Parade Starts
approx 5:00 pm – return to bus & load truck
approx 5:30 pm – arrive at NCHS
The ending times are approximate as we still do not have details on when/where the parade ends and whether the bands will need to stay for further activities. We will update you as we hear anything.
The following weekend (October 25 & 26) will be another busy one, so here is a heads up on the anticipated times to help your planning:
Friday, October 25 – Home football game / Senior Recognition Night
The seniors in the Marching Band will be recognized at the game, along with the seniors on the football team and in cheer.
4:30 pm Call Time
At 5:30 pm, there will be a “Tailgate Break” in the band room until 6:10 pm to have a snack, and then get into uniform.
~ 6:40 pm – Head to the stadium
The marching band will stay for the entire game this week.
~ 10pm Dismissal
Saturday, October 26 – NAU Band Day in Flagstaff
9:00 am – Call time @ NCHS
Load truck & bus
~ 9:30 am Depart for Flagstaff
~ 12noon – Arrive @ NAU
12n – 1pm – Lunch Break
1:30pm – Warm-up time
2:15pm – NCHS Performs
Stay for watch other bands perform
6:30 pm – Awards / depart immediately after
~ 9:30 – 10 pm – Arrive @ NCHS
